Manicure | Monday
In many people's eyes, nails are the ultimate sign of a groomed person - they are the finishing touch to any outfit and every occasion. Whilst the shape and length varies, groomed nails, in both men and women, show attention to detail, and let's face it, they just look nice! So, with that in mind, today myself and my trusty friend aka the camera, have been scouring the office to see what is adorning everyone's nails.
So, from left to right we have: Lauren, with her No7 Speed Dry in Violetta; Rachael with Barry M's Vivid Purple and myself with Barry M's Lychee, and Nails Inc's New York Noir on my pinkies. Of course our beautiful skinChemists Wild Caviar Hand Moisturiser is our secret for happy, healthy, youthful hands. Kept on all desks, and applied every-so-often, this is a wonderful addition to any hand-proud man or woman's handcare kit.
The trend for Winter leans towards berries and sparkles, and here are the best of the bunch, in our humble opinion - our top 5 for the festive period.
A constant staple in my own life, through all seasons in No7 Temptress - a wonderfully deep merlot colour that makes all nails look classic, elegant, and expensive. Rimmel's Metal Rush in Purple Reign is perfect for the festive season - a duochrome metallic nail polish that changes colour in different lights. A brilliant new release is also courtesy of Rimmel - their Space Dust nail polish in Total Eclipse (a blackened-green, packed full to the brim of various shapes and sizes of glitter) is what we are coveting in the office. No Christmas would be complete without a beautiful red glitter, and instead of plumping for the expected bright red, Models Own has offered us the beautiful Sardonyx from their Velvet Goth collection - deep, multi-faceted burgundy packed full of glitter, that manages to be matte yet glossy at the same time, leading to some seriously luxe looking nails. And last of all, no nail guide is complete without the classic nude, and our pick is Models Own Utopia. A nude that leans slightly grey, with almost violet undertones - it makes a change from the taupe-based nudes that we're all familiar with.
And last of all, just another reminder to slather on that skinChemists Wild Caviar Hand Moisturiser - you'll be thanking us come Christmas day!
Much love, the sC Team x
